Tiny Sparks Storytelling

It’s our last Storytelling event at the Pima County County house!

Bring your little ones and join us for Tiny Sparks Storytelling on Thursday May 14, at 11 AM at the Pima County Courthouse Courtyard with Children’s Museum Oro Valley @cmtucson and the Alfie Norville Gem & Mineral Museum @alfiemuseum! 📚✨ We’ll be reading The Seed and the Giant Saguaro by Jennifer Ward, following a tiny seed’s journey through the Sonoran Desert and the surprising connections it makes along the way.

After Storytime, families can create a Ripped Paper Desert Habitat Collage, tearing and layering colorful paper to build cacti, animals, and desert landscapes inspired by the book. 🌵🎨 This hands-on project invites children to explore the beauty and diversity of the desert ecosystem while making their own textured masterpiece.

Early storytelling and art help children make meaningful connections with the natural world, sparking curiosity and a sense of wonder that can last a lifetime. 💡🌱
