Día de los Abuelos

We’re excited to announce our first Día de los Abuelos, hosted in partnership with the Mayor’s Office!
I’ve been inspired by the large street gatherings you see in Mexico where elders are in public, welcomed and celebrated.
Our older adults are wisdom bearers and a vital part of our culture and community yet are too often overlooked and underserved. Mexico celebrates Día de los Abuelos each year on August 28th, and we’re bringing that spirit to Tucson with a celebration centered around our elders and bringing generations together.
