Santa Rita Park Grand Reopening

Santa Rita Park is reopening, and Ward 5 is ready to celebrate! 🎉

After a multi-year, community-driven renovation, Santa Rita Park is getting a fresh new chapter – with a new splash pad, shaded playground, walking paths, sports fields, more than 300 new trees and shrubs, improved ADA access, community-inspired public art, and more. 🛝

Join us for a two day celebration: Friday, October 2, at 5 pm for the grand reopening, with remarks and a ribbon-cutting at 5:30 pm. Then on Saturday, October 3, the Ward 5 Council Office is bringing Movies in the Park back to Santa Rita! Activities begin at 6 pm with entertainment, food trucks, kids’ activities, and a showing of Super Mario Galaxy Movie. 🍿

This park has been part of our community for generations. We are grateful to the residents who shared their ideas, voices, and vision to help shape its future. I can’t wait to see our families enjoying this renewed space for generations to come.
